Youths and Ambassadors from Morata One Seventh-day Adventist Church conducted a planned hospital visitation at Port Moresby General Hospital (PMGH) on Saturday evening, August 29, 2026.
The team was divided into four groups to visit patients in Wards 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D. During the visitation, members shared messages of hope from the Bible, prayed with patients, and distributed donations, including toiletries, laundry and bathroom items, and fruits.
Patients and their guardians expressed their appreciation for the visit and the encouragement they received. The youths and Ambassadors also recorded the names of patients so they could continue praying for them.
The visitation was conducted under the theme, “Giving Hope to the Hopeless and Sharing the Love of God.”
Youth Leader Jasper Nano said the experience reminded the young people of the importance of reaching out to those who are sick.
“It is better to go out and visit the sick and fulfil the commandments of God,” he said.
Nano also announced that the church plans to conduct another hospital visitation on Sabbath evening during Lesson 13.
The team said the experience provided valuable lessons that would help them better prepare for future hospital visitation programs.
