Therese Titi Maiah
Children's Ministries Director
Minister Therese Henry-Maiah serves as the Children’s Ministries Director for the Central Papua Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Originally from Central Province, she is married to Kavieng Henry-Maiah, a missionary carpenter with Pacific Adventist University Support Services, and together they are blessed with two children, Leetiana and Tristan. She completed a Diploma in Pastoral Ministry and Theology at Sonoma Adventist College (2011–2012) before serving as a church pastor from 2013 to 2018. She later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry and Theology from Pacific Adventist University (2019–2022). Prior to her current appointment, she served as Assistant Chaplain and Girls' Dean at Mt. Diamond Adventist Secondary School from 2023 to 2024. Minister Henry-Maiah is passionate about leading children to know, love, and serve Jesus. Her vision for Children’s Ministries in the Central Papua Conference is to equip leaders through leadership training, discipleship initiatives, and child-focused programs that nurture children in their spiritual journey and prepare them for a lifelong relationship with Christ. The department's strategic focus is centered on three key pillars: Teach, Thrive, and Lead. Current and planned initiatives include the Alive in Jesus Worldwide Discipleship Project (2024–2029), the Children’s Ministries Leadership Certification Program (2026–2027), and the Early Childhood Learning Project, beginning in 2027 as a long-term initiative to strengthen early childhood faith development across the Conference.
