Ten students were baptized on Sabbath following a one-week revival at Domara SDA Primary School in Abau District Under CPC, held under the theme “Put God First in Prayer.”
Conducted during Week 8 of Term 3 as part of the school’s camping program, the revival aimed to strengthen students’ spiritual lives, encourage a consistent prayer life, and deepen their relationship with God.
Each day began at 4:00 am with personal devotion and prayer, followed by morning worship at 5:00 am. Students then attended regular classes before gathering again for evening worship. Throughout the week, they participated in congregational singing, prayer, preaching, Bible study, and personal reflection.
Local ministers Waira Gatu and his wife from Domara, together with Allen Ismael and his wife from Duramu, led the preaching sessions. Their messages encouraged students to prioritise God, develop a consistent prayer life, and make personal commitments to Jesus Christ.
The revival also provided opportunities for outreach. On Friday, ministers and students participated in market preaching, sharing the Word of God with members of the surrounding community.
The highlight came on Sabbath when 10 students were baptised, marking a significant spiritual outcome of the revival.
The Sabbath closing program also included the distribution of World Changer Bibles to non-Adventist students, encouraging them to read Scripture and grow in their understanding of God.
Heavy rainfall on Wednesday and Thursday presented challenges, affecting movement and some planned activities. Despite this, students, staff, and visiting ministers continued with the program.
The week concluded with gratitude to God for His guidance and blessings. For the Domara Primary School community, the 10 baptisms and distribution of Bibles were significant reminders of the purpose of Christian education, to lead young people to know, love, and follow Jesus.
