CPC President Calls Staff to Prepare for Global “OneVoice27” Mission Movement
Staff members at the Central Papua Conference were challenged to deepen their spiritual commitment during morning devotion today as CPC President Pr Lonol Winnie shared the vision behind the global “OneVoice27” initiative of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
Addressing workers during worship, Pr Winnie explained that the initiative is a worldwide evangelistic movement leading toward a major global proclamation in September 2027. He said the focus of the initiative is to tell the story of Jesus Christ. His birth, ministry, death, resurrection, ascension, and soon return.
He reminded staff that this year has been set aside as a preparation year for members around the world. Workers were encouraged to read the four Gospels. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. while also studying the prophetic books of Daniel and Revelation together with The Desire of Ages.
Pr Winnie also highlighted that the initiative commemorates 2,000 years since the baptism and beginning of Christ’s public ministry in AD 27, making 2027 a significant spiritual milestone for the worldwide church.
According to church leaders, the movement aims to unite members globally “with one voice” through prayer, Bible study, personal witnessing, media evangelism, and community outreach. The worldwide emphasis is expected to reach its climax in September 2027 with harvest programs and baptismal celebrations across the globe.
The president urged staff members to begin preparing spiritually now so they can actively participate in the mission initiative within their churches and communities.
“This year is a preparation year,” Pr Winnie emphasized, calling workers to strengthen their devotional life and develop a deeper understanding of Christ and His mission before the global evangelistic emphasis begins next year.
